Examining verbal and nonverbal communication in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Brief purpose of the study:The purpose of this research study is to examine how verbal and nonverbal communication differs in Autism Spectrum Disorder
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do:Participants will view pictures and/or videos and will retell what occurred in them and/or how they relate to language heard or read. Additionally, participants will complete standardized measures of language and/or reading ability as well as general cognitive processing. Brain activity may be recorded using non-invasive techniques during observation or response. Participants will be compensated $50 for the session.
Basic eligibility criteria:Of age specified for the study (between 2 and 35) Native English speaker Diagnosed with ASD or not IQ >= 70 Right-handed
