Sex-specific effect of restricted sleep on brain health

Brief purpose of the study:The present study will investigate sex-specific differences in cerebral blood flow under conditions of normal and restricted sleep and if Resveratrol can mitigate any negative effects of sleep restriction on blood flow.
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do:The protocol will involve one 1-hour screening visit and two 2.5-hour study visits, with the use of take-home wrist watch activity tracking devices.
Basic eligibility criteria:All subjects will report being healthy adult men and women, 18-45 years of age, BMI 18-30 kg/m2, non-pregnant, non-breastfeeding, and non-nicotine users. Women must be premenopausal. Women must have a negative pregnancy test (urine). Individuals with regular menstrual cycles will be studied in the early follicular phase of the menstrual cycle.
