Brief purpose of the study: | The purpose of the research study is to determine if the Weekly Calendar Planning Activity is a good measure of the way that youth plan, organize and solve problems during daily life. We also want to know if the Weekly Calendar Planning Activity can distinguish between youth with autism and youth without autism. |
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | Participants will be asked to participate in a one-time, in-person assessment session that lasts approximately 90 to 120 minutes. Participants will answer questions about how they plan, organize, and solve problems in everyday life. They will also perform basic activities such as entering a list of events into a calendar while following specific rules to help us learn more about how they plan, organize, and solve problems in everyday life. |
Basic eligibility criteria: | Youth with autism ages 12-18 who are enrolled in middle or high school or home schooled AND
Youth ages 12-18 who are enrolled in middle or high school or home schooled |
