Motives for School and Work among Mid-Missouri Families

Brief purpose of the study:We are recruiting high school teens and one parent (father or mother) to participate in a research study titled Motives for School and Work among Mid-Missouri Families. We are studying teens’ and parents’ goals for school and work after teens complete high school.
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do:Families will be asked to complete an interview about goals for after high school graduation, and surveys about motives for school and work. The main research study activities should take about one hour to complete.
Basic eligibility criteria:We are recruiting families from counties in mid-Missouri who live outside of the city of Columbia. Families must speak and read English fluently to participate. Families will be able to participate either online (by Zoom) or by visiting our lab in McReynolds Hall on the MU campus.
