Brief purpose of the study: | The PAL 2.0 project is designed to help middle schools enhance school climate and culture by implementing prosocial education with all faculty. |
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | Teachers and administrators will engage in professional development to learn how to implement prosocial education. Teachers and administrators will complete surveys before and after the professional development. Students will also complete classroom climate surveys at the beginning and end of the school year. Teachers will also record a class period at the beginning and end of the year to examine the growth in the implementation of prosocial education strategies. Select teachers and administrators will participate in interviews to provide programmatic feedback for improvement. |
Basic eligibility criteria: | We are looking for middle schools interested in a whole-school implementation that will enhance the school climate and culture. |
