| Brief purpose of the study: | The purpose of this survey is to gather information on the barriers parents experience when seeking an autism diagnosis and related care services for their children. |
| Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | We invite parents and/or legal guardians of children living in Boone County who have received a medical diagnosis of autism or qualified for special education services under the disability category of autism within the past 5 years to complete this brief survey. Data provided by participants will help inform future efforts to understand and potentially address care related service barriers in Boone County. Eligible participants will be reached out to for future research. |
| Basic eligibility criteria: | Parents or legal guardians of a child who has received a medical diagnosis of autism or qualified for special education services under the disability category of autism within the past 5 years living in Boone County. |
