DEFIANCE: ClotTriever vs. Anticoagulation for DVT

Brief purpose of the study:The purpose of the study is to compare two types of treatment for a deep vein thrombosis (DVT), also referred to a blood clot in the leg. One treatment is with an interventional strategy using the ClotTriever System and anticoagulant (AC) medication. The other treatment is conservative medical management using anticoagulation medication alone.
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do:Participants will receive treatment with either the ClotTriever procedure plus AC medicine or AC medicine alone. Participants will not be able to choose which treatment they receive. Participants will complete follow up visits, in person or over the phone.
Basic eligibility criteria:Patients ages 18 and older with a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the leg
