Brief purpose of the study: | Our research group is seeking volunteers aged 19-35 years to participate in on-skin testing of our porous wearable bimodal cardiac patches, featuring electrocardiogram (ECG) and seismocardiogram (SCG) sensors. These devices can serve as a versatile tool for monitoring heart health and involve non-invasive testing. The device will be positioned on the chest’s surface to measure ECG and SCG signals naturally generated by the body. The collected data will be devoid of any linking identifiers, and the results will solely be utilized to assess the device’s performance.

Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | The research project will last for approximately three years, during which we will continually improve our device designs and fabrication techniques while evaluating their performance. The tests, which will last approximately two weeks each, will require participants to visit our lab (1203 at NextGen) on day 1, 5, 10, and 14. During these visits, we will assess the functionality of our porous wearable devices and compare the data recorded by them to that recorded using traditional nonporous devices. Each visit will take approximately 60 minutes in our lab. There is no set limit to the number of visits participants may make throughout the study, and participation is entirely voluntary. |
