Brief purpose of the study: | The primary purpose of this study is to enrich and improve MR imaging through:
• MR sequence development and optimization; testing of MR pulse sequences, coils, dielectric pads, and imaging aids (e.g., positioning devices for functional MRI); and evaluating MR imaging pre and post MRI contrast.
• Performance of small pilot or preliminary studies of new MR imaging techniques or applications to assess the potential utility prior to starting a clinical trial (under separate IRB protocol) |
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | Subjects will be asked to have an MRI with or without contrast. Subjects of childbearing potential will be asked to provide a urine sample so that a urine pregnancy test can be performed prior to the MRI. Subjects will also be asked to provide a blood sample so that their creatinine/eGFR can be tested. |
Basic eligibility criteria: | Inclusion Criteria: Applies to all participants
• Age 18 and older
• Healthy subjects and patients with specific conditions or diseases including but not limited to heart disease, lung disease and brain disease. These patients will be used to test MRI methods to detect these diseases. |
