General Education Pre-Service Teachers’ Self-Efficacy in Teaching Neurodivergent Students

Brief purpose of the study:Investigate pre-service general education teachers’ self-efficacy for teaching neurodivergent children, and how it is modulated by amount of experience in classroom or classroom-adjacent settings
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do:Participants will be asked to complete a 20-minute Qualtrics survey addressing background education and self-efficacy in the classroom both generally and specifically with neurodivergent students. Participants may opt-in to an interview aimed at learning more about education majors' perceptions of their training and education in working with neurodivergent students.
Basic eligibility criteria:All general education majors at the University of Missouri – Columbia are invited to participate in this study regardless of age group they are training to teach in or emphasis area.
