| Brief purpose of the study: | The purpose of this research project is to develop and assess an innovative approach to learning CNC machine and 3D printer operation and management via an Intelligent Mixed Reality Platform. |
| Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | You are being asked to take part as a learner for the platform. You will operate a consumer-grade Mixed Reality Headset (HoloLens 2), go through the training program, and provide your feedback. Your participation should last up to 1.5 hours. Participants must wear appropriate attire for lab safety, including long pants and closed-toe shoes. Shorts, tank tops, or hoodies are not allowed. Hair longer than 6 inches must be securely tied back. Data will be collected on your learning performance through cameras and/or microphones. The data will not be associated with your personal information. During the oral reflection/interview part towards the end of the study, you will be audio recorded (or video recorded with your permission). The information you provide will be kept confidential and only the research team will have access. |
