Brief purpose of the study: | The Family and Relationships Research Network of Missouri (FARR-Net) maintains a state-wide database of households and families that are interested in participating in future studies related to youth, families, and relationships from a wide variety of disciplines (e.g., psychology, human development and family studies, communication, social work, education). Households can enroll in the database by providing general information about each household member and general contact information. Then, when FARR-Net researchers are recruiting for a study where one or more of the household members may qualify for they study, they will be contacted by researchers to request their participation. Individual studies may provide compensation for participation, and household members are free to accept or decline participation to any or all of the researchers who contact them. |
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | Adults 18 and older will be asked to complete a brief demographic survey that takes approximately 5 minutes to complete about household contact information and basic demographic information regarding each member of the household. Participants will remain in the database unless they request to be removed and participants have access to either delay active participation (for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year) or remove themselves from contact at any time through the website. Compensation may be provided when households are contacted about their participation in specific studies for which they are eligible. |
Basic eligibility criteria: | Subjects ages 18 and older within the State of Missouri. |
