The impacts of early life religious and rurality influences on LGBTQ+ individuals in mid-Missouri

Brief purpose of the study:The purpose of the study is to assess rurality and religion during upbringing and how these factors impact LGBTQ+ individuals.
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do:Subjects will be asked to complete brief (approximately 5 minutes) online survey. If they wish, subjects may provide an email address (kept separate from survey responses) to be contacted for a one-on-one interview with researchers. Interview participants will be randomly selected. The interview will take place over Zoom and will last approximately 40-60 minutes. Subjects will be asked to answer questions about their upbringing and community.
Basic eligibility criteria:Eligible individuals will be adults age 18-80+ who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and who report upbringing in a religious and/or rural community. Participants will be recruited from Boone County and surrounding areas.
