| Brief purpose of the study: | The purpose of the research study is to find out more about the flu (influenza) or COVID-19. We hope to learn how the influenza or COVID-19 vaccine influences our body immune responses against the flu or flu-like illness and how the virus spreads. |
| Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | Participants will provide up to five blood samples, for up to seven months after receiving an influenza vaccine. In addition, participants will complete surveys: one baseline survey and follow-up surveys. These can be done online, mailed, or at time of the visit. Participants will receive $20 gift card at time of blood sample collection, for up to $100 total compensation. |
| Basic eligibility criteria: | 18 years old and older who plan to receive an Influenza or COVID-19 vaccination; are willing to provide blood samples including one prior to vaccination; English speaking. |
