Brief purpose of the study: | The goal of this research study is to learn about how behaviors observed in newborns relate to meeting developmental milestones during the first years of life. |
Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | Participants will use their smart phones to submit newborn cry recordings (5 minutes), complete a phone interview (15 minutes) and complete online surveys about baby’s development through age 3 (5-30 minutes). Some participants will be invited to an in-person visit at the Thompson Center for Autism to complete developmental measures when their child is 2-4 years old (3 hours). The study will pay up to $265 in Amazon gift cards for participation. |
