| Brief purpose of the study: | The purpose of this research study is to better understand how pretending helps some children persist in the face of everyday challenges. |
| Brief summary of what participants will be asked to do: | You will be asked to come to the University for a 1-hour session. Your child will engage in play and complete a series of game-like developmental assessments. You will be asked to fill out some questionnaires and engage in play with your child. Covid-19 precautions will be taken. |
| Basic eligibility criteria: | To be eligible, your child must be 4-5 years of age. |
